Terms of service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms of Service apply to your use of megstory.com (the "website") and to every order you place through it. The website is operated by Cedrus Holding B.V., trading as Meg's Story. "We", "us" and "our" mean Cedrus Holding B.V., trading as Meg's Story; "you" means the person using the website or placing an order.
These Terms should be read together with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Payment Policy, which form part of them. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Our online shop runs on Shopify, which provides the technical platform.
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
This section takes priority over every other section of these Terms.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. If any part of these Terms would have that effect, it does not apply to you. Any limitation in these Terms applies only as far as the law allows.
2. About us
Meg's Story is an online shop for women's clothing and shoes. It is run by Cedrus Holding B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands (KvK 42138913). We sell to customers in Australia only. We have no shop, office or warehouse in Australia: orders are shipped from our suppliers' warehouses overseas, in Asia. Our full company details are at the bottom of this page.
3. Using the website
To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to give accurate and complete details when you order, including your delivery address and email address, so that we can deliver your order and contact you about it.
You may not use the website:
- for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or to encourage others to act unlawfully
- to upload or send viruses or other harmful code, or to interfere with the website's security
- to collect other people's personal information, or to send spam
- to scrape, copy or reuse the website or its content for commercial purposes without our written permission
- to harass, threaten or harm anyone, or to infringe anyone's rights
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may suspend your access to the website. This does not affect orders you have already placed and paid for.
4. Products and product information
We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can, including measurements and size information. Colours can look slightly different depending on your screen, and measurements can vary slightly because of how garments are made. If an item is materially different from its description, you are protected by the Australian Consumer Law (see section 1 and our Refund Policy).
All products are subject to availability. We may limit the quantity of an item per order where stock is limited.
5. Prices and taxes
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include any taxes that apply. There is nothing extra to pay on delivery: no import duties and no charges at the door.
The price that applies to your order is the price shown at checkout when you place it. Prices may change over time, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
If we have made an obvious error in a price or description, we will contact you before your order ships and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
6. Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, UnionPay and Apple Pay.
We do not charge a surcharge for any payment method. Your payment is taken when you place your order and is processed securely by Shopify Payments. More information is in our Payment Policy.
7. Your order and our contract
When you place an order, you make an offer to buy the items in it. Our contract with you is formed when we send you the order confirmation email.
In rare cases we may have to cancel an order after confirming it, for example if an item turns out to be out of stock or we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. If that happens, we tell you by email and refund you in full to your original payment method.
8. Delivery
We deliver to addresses in Australia only, in all states and territories. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum spend. Processing takes 1–3 business days and transit takes 8–12 business days, so your order arrives 9–15 business days after you place it. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Australian national public holidays.
Orders are shipped from our suppliers' warehouses overseas, in Asia, and delivered in Australia by Australia Post and other carriers. These times are estimates, not guarantees. If your order is delayed, we will let you know. The full details are in our Shipping Policy.
9. Ownership and risk
Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered. If a parcel goes missing, we investigate with the carrier and resolve it with you. Ownership of the items passes to you when they are delivered, provided we have received your payment in full.
10. Cancellations, returns and refunds
You can cancel your order free of charge as long as it has not yet shipped. Email us as soon as possible.
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery by emailing info@megstory.com. Items must be unworn, with all tags still attached, and in their original packaging. For change-of-mind returns, you pay the return postage and it is not refunded. We recommend a tracked service. Once we approve your return, we send you the address of our returns centre overseas. Please never send a return to our registered address in the Netherlands. We do not charge a restocking fee or any administration fee.
Once we have received and inspected your return, we refund you within 7 business days to your original payment method, in AUD. Your bank may then take a further 5–10 business days to show the refund.
Exchanges for a different size or colour are available on request, subject to stock, within the same 30 days and on the same conditions as a return.
The full details are in our Refund Policy.
11. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If an item arrives faulty or damaged, or is not what you ordered, email us your order number and photos. We cover all costs, including return postage, and will repair, replace or refund the item. We do not set a deadline of our own for reporting a fault. If the problem is a major failure, you choose whether you receive a replacement or a refund. See section 1 and our Refund Policy.
12. Our liability
Section 1 takes priority over this section.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to take reasonable care. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable
- loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes or carrier disruptions, although we will always keep you informed if they affect your order
- business losses, such as loss of profit or business opportunity, because our products are sold for personal use
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where that would be unlawful, including our liability under the Australian Consumer Law, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Website availability and accuracy
We work to keep the website available and its information correct and up to date, but the website may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or because of technical problems. If we find an error on the website, we correct it as soon as we can.
14. Third-party services and links
Some features of the website, such as payment and parcel tracking, are provided by third parties, and the website may link to other websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which we recommend you read. We are not responsible for the content of other websites. This does not limit our own responsibility to you for your order, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
15. Reviews and messages you send us
If you send us a product review, photo or other content for publication, you confirm that it is your own, that it is honest, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. You allow us to publish it on the website and in our own communications, with your first name only, unless you tell us otherwise. You can ask us to remove it at any time. We may decline to publish content that is unlawful, offensive or misleading, but we do not edit reviews to change their meaning.
16. Intellectual property
The text, photos, design and other content on the website belong to us or to our licensors. You may view and print them for your own personal use, but you may not copy, sell or reuse them without our written permission.
17. Personal information
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page on the day you place your order applies to that order. Changes never apply retrospectively to an order you have already placed.
19. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the website and your orders.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any contract between you and us, are governed by the law of the Netherlands. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other Australian law that cannot be excluded by agreement, and you can bring a claim in the courts of the Australian state or territory where you live.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@megstory.com; most issues can be resolved quickly by email. You can also contact the consumer protection agency in your state or territory, or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission at accc.gov.au.
